MASTERS OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY & DESIGN
In 2015 I started to seriously consider obtaining my Masters in Education. The big question faced was what discipline?

My wife completed her Masters in Education Administration a few years before and many colleagues were completing their Masters in both administration and curriculum. Neither of these areas really appealed and I felt that if I was going to start this next stage of my education it should be something I am passionate about. So I ended up feeling like the individual on the dock, wondering where I would go.
I have always enjoyed playing with technology and trying to find ways to utilize it in the classroom. Through my work, I was introduced to technology coaches and consultants who were working with teachers across the school division to help teachers and schools become effective users of technology. Watching their presentations, seeing how they worked and the amazing programs they utilized grabbed my interest. I realized that this is where I wanted to go in my education career. Both consultants had completed their Masters in Educational Technology and Design through the University of Saskatchewan and after discussions and further research into the program, I was sold. This would be the start of my next journey.
